Day One, part one: Culture shock and sunshine - we arrived in Palmerston North

Jet lag is kicking in, I'll post more later...

The old police station. 1939 art deco, closed 3 years ago and moved to a new building. Howard took us on a walk-about the downtown square and this was one of the buildings he pointed out.

Unfortunate initials for an anacronym. Just keep following the blue line...

A large weta, he didn't bug me.

The Maori inspired entrance at Auckland. We survived 12 hours in an economy plane seat.

Our accomodation for our transatlantic journey.

Vegetable Frittata with Sausage and sauteed spinach for breakfast.

Food picture for Sherm. Moroccan Chicken with Sugar snap peas. The yellow nuggets that tasted like styrofoam are called Couscous. Our first Ginger beer!

Here we are at LAX.

Yvette decided to take a pic of me on the tram at DIA

VROC breakfast with JameyT, Melanie, and Bucky. It was a very nice start to our trip.
